Installed rpm, boost and egt gauges:). Deleted muffler, with exhaust exiting in front of passenger rear wheel:D. Towed the heaviest load yet, 8 bulls and two horses in a 24' gooseneck:{. 18# boost max, did not get over 1000 egt. It would still out pull my 460 ci ford. The next day I cut the fuel screw collar off and turned the screw in several turns... lost count of the turns:confused: Backed off the high idle screw and adjusted the low idle screw. I then towed a load slightly lighter than the previous day:cool:, 28# boost and max 1200 deg. egt. Way cool! Thats more like it! So like the title says, did I achieve 100 hp increase? Thanks...

At the flywheel probbaly close. A little less at the wheels but 260 HP is pretty easy to get without a lot of effort. Motor is waaaayyyy detuned for stock application. :)

So that begs the question...

What is the relationship to flywheel HP vs rear wheel HP?

I was always thinking there was a 20% driveline loss.

Thats a good conservative number to use. If the published ratings can be believed, the actual is probably closer to 10-12% from what I have tracked. Thats on a manual or lockup TC.

With a stock non-lockup auto, 30-35% is in the ball park. Veeerrryyyy sloppy. :)

FWIW when I was running stock turbo and such on my 93, at around 30 psi of boost, I dynoed at 235 hp/586 tq. Not too shabby for some bosch 185's and tweaks of the pump. I would routinly see in excess of 1300 on the pyro with my setup though.

I was at 241/604 with a non-intercooled truck, 30 + psi (estimated 33/34), never saw anything over 1200 F.

I'd be pleasantly surprised if we only had a 12% driveline loss.
