285/70/17 do not have to be all-terrain

I am fixing to be in the market for a new set of tires. The BFG AT/KO's wore good on my 4x4 but are wearing horribly on the 2wd. I would like to keep the 285 size for a little help in the top end.

Also, my car policy only pays for tires if they make it 50,000 miles. So, the durability of the tire is the key issue and I don't have to worry about snow in south Louisiana! Just wondering if there are some street type tires in 285 with a D or E rating!
