I have a Mega Cab 2WD coming and I want a larger tire and was thinking of the Cooper 285 or BFG 305 and was wondering if anyone has any thoughts on the two different tires. The local tire shop would swap the stockers out for either one----the BFG are a little higher.

Thanks

JIM

That is what I am wondering about the fitment will they fit the 2wd trucks? As far as the final drive it would take the 4:10 to a 3:90.

I meant to put 285 or 315----------and the tires are cooper or bfg.

I meant BFG A/T or Trail.

The A/T are worth the extra money, the Trail is under rated.

285 is a better all around size. (power and milage)

The 315's will not fit under the 2wd without hitting the wheel well while turning. I am getting the longest mileage (with my BFG's) out of ANY truck tire nw. I have 30,000 miles on the tires and not even 1/2 wore out. I am not easy on my tires either. Good wet and dry traction. Not much tire noise at speed and they seem to hold the balance well.

one thing I learned, Get a "E" rated tire... Even though my tires are 3195lb rated, they are way softer sidewall the "E" rated ones I wore out

Personally, I'd go with the 285 BFG Mud Terrains. They might be only a LR D, but they are a far superior tire. Handle better, carry more weight and last twice as long.

Did I mention I just so happen to have a set I want to sell... :-laf :-laf :-laf
