I am looking at M55 toyo 285 tires I currently have a 410 axle and my rig came with 265 tires How much will the speedometer off? Does any one know how much fuel mileage will increase

In the state of Maine it is illegal to have oversize tires if your vehicle has antilock brakes. My inspection garage will still sticker the truck with the 285,s I will most likly buy the tires from him just to keep him happy.

Not really too sure, I think every vehicle is different. My last truck I went from 245 to 285 and at 65 it was off by about 8 mph. The truck I have now, I went from 235 to 285 and the speedo never changed. I run my mph off of my GPS and with both sets of tires the GPS has always been 1 to 2 mph off the odometer, weird hey.

Also switched to 285's w/410. Had dealer change speedo, $50. and saw a drop in fuel mileage. This is due to the stop and go in town. I have a friend who works in the tire business and both his dodges did not change fuel economy with bigger tires. Just a thought.
