Do your sig., what rear gears?, 4X4, what are you getting in MPG, A friend just bought a 2015 4X4 mega cab 410 grs., only getting 17 empty, suppose to get better with miles

Truck is a 3500 4x4 srw 3.54 I believe . Only rear ratio available.aisin transmission .looks like 12 mpg with a 6000 Mabey 7000 pound load tandem axle cargo trailer.mountain highways.just wondering what I can expect after 10000 miles.

I'm used to towing using pyrometer find it hard to get used to auto trans and torque management algorithms.was told if I put a pyro on I would be in shock how hot she runs.im old school sure different to drive ,but good ,not complaining love the truck.

If you are wanting to argue about something , you need to join a different forum,at least i know what gears my truck has, Monte

With an attitude like yours, you will not get very far on this forum. This forum is full of exceptionally helpful to everyone that has the info required to receive a good answer to their question.

At the expense of being accused of not knowing nothing, I'll say after break in, it might improve 1 mpg (or maybe 1 & a fraction). But winding roads and that weight 12-13 mpg sounds about right. I get 15 mpg going 55-58 pulling an 11 foot high trailer that really catches the wind (5000 lbs/tandem axle). If I go through the smokies it drops to 13-14

Same trailer at 70 mph, It drops to 13 mpg.
