HAS ANYONE INSTALLED A FRONT END LEVELING KIT ON THEIR 4X4?? MY FRONT END REPLACEMENT HAS MADE MY TRUCK SAG LIKE AN OLD GRANNY. . WHAT KIND OF COST RANGE? DO I NEED AN ALIGNMENT BEING THAT I HAVE A SOLID FRONT AXLE? WILL 35IN TIRES FIT UNDER THE FENDER NOW? LEE

I had the skyjacker 2" replacement springs installed on my truck, think the cost was a couple hundred dollars with springs, install and alignment. I would align the truck after the install, because you are changing the geometry of the steering components.

Course after I installed the 2" leveling kit, I noticed the arse was sagging... .

Morph.

There's a couple of different kits available for around $125. Should check toe-in and caster when lift is complete. May have to compromise slightly on caster to keep front driveshaft angles in check. Should fit 35" tires o. k. - mine fits 36. 4" with 3" of lift and has never hit. If you use stock wheels, tires may rub on the control arms at full lock. Also check shock length, they could be too short. Do a search on this subject for more info.

Hint: CAPS LOCK is equivalent to yelling in the computer world. Some guys may think you're mad when you haven't even skinned your knuckles installing the lift yet. :D

just did leveling kit, came out ok but front rear is sticking out the drivers side about 1 1/2 more than the other side:confused:

Drag link

When installing a lift kit on the front end, it will cause the axle to shift to the drivers side. To correct this, you'll have to buy an adjustable drag link to be able to re-center the front axle.

i am also getting a 2 in leveling kit a spacer that goes on top of the spring. do you know if the stock shock will work or do i have to upgrade. i decided to have the shop do it only 1 and half hour to do job and they can also alin the front end . thanks

Some of the leveling kits say that the stock shocks will work and I think a lot of guys do just that. I found mine too short with 3" of lift and I'm not sure they would have worked with 2". Try it without changing them and if you hear/feel them "topping out" then replace them. Ask the shop to loosen the ALL of the control arm bolts, then tighten them with the vehicle on the ground. This allows the bushings to return to a "neutral" position and it will ride better. Good luck.

Stock shocks will top out with a 2" leveling kit. Mine did anyway. I don't know about 35's. I still have the stock tires on mine. I think you could squeeze 35's in there, but it would look a little funny, IMO. I think 33's would look better. Never have liked the look of a truck with too much rubber squeezed under it for the lift height.

I just ordered a 2" kit with Pro Comp shocks from Jack-It for under 2c's. There is a shop here that will install this for 100. I thought it was well worth it for them to do the install.
