Hi all.

I've been a member for a few years, had a 1st generation D250, 1993 model for seven years. Traded it last weekend on a 2000 D2500 Laramie auto, Quad cab, 4 x 4, a real beauty. Took most of my goodies off the 93, some will go onto the 2000 in the days to come, already fitted the canopy. Not as good a fit as it was on the 93, still it will be fine for the balance of the winter.

Have not decided what gauges to fit, if any. Would like perhaps to fit a boost and a transmission temp gauge without leaving marks, holes etc. Is it possible to mount them inside the cup holder cut out on the dash so they fit where the cup holder closes and are out of sight when the cup holder is closed?

Also enjoying the lock up clutch, can hardly wait until early summer to try it out with the trailer in tow.

Ian.

A fuel pressure gauge is also highly recommended now that you have a 24 valve engine. At the very least, get a "Briar Hopper" test rig and check pressure periodically. If the truck is under warranty and engine power is left stock, you get free lift pumps from the dealer until 100k.

The "little" cubby hole.....

on the right side of the dash is a nice place to mount a guage. I fully agree with... . HC... . that a fuel pressure guage is a good thing. It will pay for itself in the long run if for no other reason than getting rid of unnecessary filter changes if mounted in the post filter location.
