Well I filled for the second time today. Figured by hand, I came out to 14. 0 MPG, with just over 900 miles on the clock. I'm not too disturbed by that, as I have a much heavier truck than my 01'. I never got those wild mileage claims that some guys reported on my old truck. It was a six speed HO, 2500 Quad Cab long bed, with a 4. 10 rear end. I averaged about 18. 5, to 19. 0 MPG empty. And that was a lot of highway driving. I never complained about mileage when I considered the weight I was moving around.

So, I have increased about . 5 MPG over the first tank, and the truck is driving better all the time. This rig is a 4X4, dually, with the same drive train that was in the 01'. If I can get close to what the 01' was doing, I will be ecstatic. I am going to take a weekender fiver trip next week, and that should allow me to stretch the legs of the the Cummins. I'm headed down toward San Diego, and there are some stiff grades on the way. I will post the results when I get back. Oo. Sarge

You know, you are right. I didn't consider the axles..... However, the gear ratios and the NV5600 are the same.

I run 65-70 pretty consistently. I'm not much of a lead foot. You kind of lose the urge when you spend 22 years driving as fast as you want... ... . :)
