2022 2500 there is a second small fuse box between the left battery and the cowl right in front of the driver. It has 3 50 amp fuses and 3 relays, and room for several more. No mention in the owners manual, and no markings or info on the inside or outside of the lid. Anyone know what this feeds?

Yes, it’s from Alldata. This is what it says about the Cabin Heater. From the sound of it, there’s basically an electric heater that works until the coolant gets up to temp. There should be a description of it in your owners manual.
This system has an additional Positive Temperature Coefficient (PTC) component (Cabin Heater) to heat up the air more rapidly when the engine is cold when the vehicle is equipped with a diesel engine.

Thanks again. It's stuff like this that makes the TDR worth the price of admission. Since I don't care about instant heat when it's cold, I wonder if the relays and fuses could be repurposed to power lights or other accessories. Any thoughts?

I this PDC part of an option package or will my 2021 have it?
It says “As an OPTION, an additional system of heating is OFFERED”, so it sounds optional to me.

I would say no. The electrical systems on these trucks is something you don’t want to mess with.

@dpotter Do you have the Aux Swtich kit in your truck?

If so you should have a bag of harnesses provided with the 2.5" reducer to 2" ball mount adapter.

No, unfortunately I don't have the Aux Switches. I had them on my 17, but I bought the 22 off the dealer lot as is. I looked into the add on aux switch kit thru Mopar, but was told it did not fit my VIN. At $400 it was pricy, but I thought it would be worth it. That's how I found the 2nd fuse box while looking to where it would mount.

All diesel trucks get the aux heater, and no I wouldn’t mess with that wiring.

I’m surprised the aux heater is powered off the drivers side as the HVAC is on the passenger side, but they probably only wanted one aux fuse panel.

The aux fuse panel on the drivers side of my 18 is for the aux switches. I’ll know shortly what it looks like for my ‘22, as is has aux switches also.

The Ram Commercial pages have lots of good info on wiring and such.

Page 6 shows the aux PDC.

I had the aux switches on my 2017 and the 2nd fuse box on my 22 looked like it, so I was hoping maybe the fuse box was there as standard and the switches were installed if ordered that way. Unfortunately, my luck doesn't run that way. I really don't see the need for additional heat, but commiefornia doesn't get that cold. Probably a good accessory in the snow belt.
