Well guys thanks for all the patience, at last the 2nd gear lock up valve bodies are available for sale.

All 14 of our valve bodies offer 2nd gear manual lock up capabilities for exhaust brake users and heavy towing applications.

If you choose not to use 2nd gear lock up(dont flip the mystery switch).

This option switch gives you INSTANT COOLING,(in heavy traffic, or off road use)

Pressures are 72 PSI- slightly modified and light towing.
82 PSI- modified trucks and heavy towing and exhaust brakes.

92 PSI- extremely heavy loads and exhaust brakes, and serious horse power guys.

PS LIVESTOCK HAULERS; custom built units for your application. (higher pressures softer shift capabilities)
My number is 1-604-504-4002

Bill, Good to see you back. Question regarding the straight ATF and Lube Guard. How much additive do you put in and what is the part #, I use their LSD additive.

Look forward to hearing about the 2nd gear lockup system.

Thanks

Bill - is your lock-up info on the web somewhere? I need to start like a novice!

I think tlippy's a closet "bomber" who's just waiting for the warranty to run out... 30K---unless he bought the extended he's only got 6K to go... hmmmmmm I bet he's been purchasing BOMB parts on the "sly" for several months now... . keeps 'em in an unmarked cardboard box on the upper shelf of some closet that no-one else in the house knows about. . (waits until everybody's asleep, takes the stuff out, fondles the injectors, cleans the contacts on his VanAacken box, runs his fingers over the HX 40 housing..... like Paul Simon (not the politician with the bow tie) said "... moooost of all you've got to hide it from the kids... . "

I'm headed to Timberline Dodge on July 15 to meet the NW TDR guys for the first time and I don't want to be greeted by an asswhippin -so I'm presenting a kinder, gentler image. I'm a closet bomber and I might come out in Portland!
"rhanson" has a new hood with a big flat spot in the middle - just right to sit a Bud.
Can't waait!

HEY Guys ,
Believe me i am not ignoring you, right now i am ensuring my staff is being properly trained, doing a lot of valve body instructions modifications, and yes even making sure all the customers that have called is receiving their valve bodies as promised.
I will be posting a more informative post on Saturday night. You know the longer ones that has some of you guys yawning.
John at Pacific Automotive Warehouse is the man in charge of the Diesel Transmission Technology sales and Distribution in the USA.

And to answer some of the questions we do have a web site under construction at the present time.

Bill K---was over at Diesel Specialists today in Las Vegas... told transmission-god Bob about your new valvebody... eyes lit up like kid at candystore---rich m

ted , i talked with bill today , his 2nd gear mod allows the convertor to be locked up in 2nd gear , it's for when your either braking a heavy load with a Ebrake (i assume the e brake part) or for when you're in slow traffic that won't allow it to you to get into 3rd and be locked , i think its manually into second then locked with your mystery switch. the '00 allows shift from 3rd to 4th while locked (again thats another i think), but i don't think we want to shift from 2nd to 3rd locked . if i'm lost here i'm sure bill will correct me . but after my talk this valve body seems like a winner , after some groveling and a repair to wifes jeep tonite i hope to be ordering mine tomorrow. this valvebody sounds like the real deal to me.

disclaimer , everything as of late sounds like the real deal #ad

As promised here is the post on the 2nd gear lockup valve bodies.
When our valve bodies are built they all have the capability to engage 2nd gear lockup.
The valve bodies are all pre-calibrated and tested on our own ANSWERMATIC 4000 VALVE BODY CALIBRATOR. In addition to this we customize each valve body based on our customer profile.
I do not believe one valve body pressure setting applies to every Dodge ram out there. We offer a range from 70 PSI up to 90 PSI base pressure. In addition to this we also offer high pressure valve bodies with a softer shift for those who do not like the hard shifting, or are hauling livestock.
For those making over 255 HP (rear wheels), we can achieve the higher pressures by modifying the governor solenoids(1996 and later Rams).
We realize that by customizing each valve body it adds an extra 2 days to your delivery however
I feel this is the best way to ensure you get the specific application you require .

Each valve body is built with a hard anodized aluminum valve that allows full time cooler flow even in park. While I realize that this is a more expensive method than the steel valves used by Transgo and others,
I feel as do the OEM manufactures that this hard anodized aluminum method will not cause damage to your valve body over the long haul compared to the steel valve. ( Steel valve rubbing against aluminum )

It is imperative when ordering that the customer profile be as accurate as possible, as we are using this to build the valve body just for your application. While we can certainly help you choose the pressure setting, you must decide how you want the vehicle to shift.

DDT VALVE BODIES STOCK
IDLE 1800 rpm’s 3rd lockup IDLE 1800rpm’s 3rd lockup
70 PSI 90-94 PSI 50-55 PSI 64-68 PSI
80PSI 105-110 PSI
90PSI 120-125 PSI

The biggest question I am fielding is how does 2nd gear lockup work?
While for obvious reasons I cant tell you how its done in the valve body, here is how it works .
By installing a lockup(mystery) switch, when you manually downshift into 2nd you simply turn on the switch to engage lockup. The 2nd gear lockup provides you with an extra gear combination for those steep grades both up and down and helps maintain transmission temperature. For those who are not towing all the time it also helpful during heavy and slow traffic. As most of you already know transmission temperatures begin to soar when you are out of lockup.

For you hot rodders , 2nd gear lockup is NOT for you. This is not a method to lower your quarter mile times.
Now that I have answered your questions I need some input from you guys and gals.
While know this may pose a hardship on you Dodge guys , I need you to put your foot to the floor.
I need you to record and tell me what does your tach read between shifts.
1st to 2nd , 2nd to 3rd only.

I need this info as well for the next product we are presently designing for your Rams.
Vehicle Year
Model/2500/3500?
Gear Ratio?
HP( Rear Wheel)
Type of Converter
RPM change between shifts(1-2, 2-3 )
eg) 1-2 2400 after shift 2200?
1-2 3000 after shift 2800?
I do not need for you to engage lockup
Thanks in advance for you info. Please be safe as we do not pay for traffic fines ect.
Bill

bill wants us to hammer throttles, record shift data and mail back to him... sounds like a d&^n fine excuse to make clouds... also gotta send complete BOMB lists so that he'll have enough numeric data bouncing about in 'is 'ead to make it bloody explode! (sorry, had a BBC attack there for a minute). . can we do it like a million times? purty pleeze?

I would like to thank you guys for all the personal emails and feed back. I truly appreciate the info as believe me it is used to come up with some very interesting products for the Dodge Ram. Please feel free to continue as more data is always better, thanks again guys, really appreciate your efforts.
Bill
