How can I make it work? I have the manual lockup switch, but if I click it when it is in 2nd it shifts instantly to 3rd. If I pull the shifter down into 2nd it wont lock up at all. Is there a way to change that? A VB mod or something?
 
So. . Do we have any vendors in here that would be willing to share a trade secret? :D



Not quite ready to spend the $$$ on a new one... But this should speed that up! :-laf
 
Bill Kondolay at DTT is usually helpful and will tell you if it can be done or not.

I have the switch also but have never tried locking the TC in 2nd.
 
My DTT valve body is set to lock up in 2nd. It was an option when I got the DTT transmission, so DTT definately knows how to do it. I haven't noticed it locking when shifting down from third but it definately locks when accelerating from a stop sign.
 
Byron, I PM'ed you thinking that you wanted to do this for towing is that what it's for or is it for racing?



If it for racing you only need to hook up a switch, but the shifter needs to be in Drive.



If your trying to do it for towing, by manually putting the selector into 2nd then it will take VB mods. We don't like sharing how because if it's done incorrectly the VB is junk. Call me at the shop if you need a hand.

Yeah, it's going to be for racing, but when I flip the switch when it is in 2nd it goes almost instantly into 3rd. Drops the RPM's too much. Because of this I need to wait untill about 45MPH to lockup at WOT. If I could hold it in 2nd and lockup at like 30-35, then hit 3rd at 45... That would be great.



Just don't want to put any $$$ into this trans because I know it wont last much longer. The plan is a full race trans... Someday. :D
