2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission 2nd gen frame stretch

Who has stretched a 2nd gen? I am looking at stretching a 98 quad cab, I want to put a 12ft flat bed on it. I am thinking of right under the rear of the cab, Cut it and make a frame insert. Move the axle back 24inches or alittle more. I am looking for some advice and photos from people that have done it. I am wanting to do it my self, I did is to a chevy crew cab and it works good, Now I want a 4x4 truck and I am looking into doind a Dodge.

And yes the chevy has a cummins in it.

Any decent truck shop can do it. You might search "long bed megacab" for some more information.
