because of poverty I'm going to install TST 60 lb. valve springs on my97 2500 myself=do I need to make a tool or is a special tool already out there that is afordable that??=Thanks

Kd makes a nice low pro unit so does Lilse.

See your Auto Zone, O'Reilly's etc after looking at the one featured in the Geno's catalog. I think both auto parts stores rent them and then charge you if they are not returned in a specified number of hours, days etc.

Remove the handle and use a wrench on the top of the spring compressor for number 5 and 6 cylinders as necessary.

Keep a magnet handy to catch the retainers as the have a habit of popping out and going bye bye, hopefully not down a push rod tube opening.

Good luck

Andy

I have one I'll loan you if you want to make the drive to Killeen. The auto parts stores here that loan tools didn't have one big enough for our valves so I bought one from Genos. Of course, with the price of fuel it may be as cheap to just buy one yourself.

Thanks GAMes=bought one I think should work from O'Riellys today =and you are right about fuel cost. = Thanks also to Andy Redmon for his advice.
