Well, I posted a thread over in the 3rd gen section about why I would not want a 3rd gen. Pist lots of people off I guess, kind of immature. click over to the third gen to take a look and post a comment... .

A debate would have been nice but it turned into a bashing and personal attack session (put on your flack jacket and kelvar helmet) oh well a debate would have been nice as I would like too know if the 3rd gen truck has got all the major bugs out of it yet. is the 48re trans certified for a exhaust brake yet? ect but no debate no answers I will look else where for a answers on these and other questions I have been very disapointed in the 3rd gen posters that bashed you mr EBOTTEMA it was more like a ford forum debate we are the only good truck (ford) Every one else's truck is bad. :-{} The quest for facts is a long hard bumpy road. (sorry for spelling errors I just got home after a 1500 mile trip and I am tired)

As you are trying to call your post a debate and not a flame war, look at what you have posted both there and here. It is nothing but a bunch of post's about how bad the 3rd gens are. When you are posting nothing but your negative opinions and leave no room for rebuttal to your comments what do you expect to come of this? Any wonder why this has turned into a ******* match? Something constructive may have come from this but you have turned it into a bunch of BS. Which in my opinion, was your sole purpose in the first place other wise you would have posted it here where it is more appropriate. Or better yet, you would not have posted this subject in the first place.

See, why don't I have the right to post something I want to say? I pay for this service just as the rest do. If someone wants to come on and debate something against what I have, I will step up and act adult about it...

Anyways, It all went out of hand and I did say the 2rd gen only major advantage over the 2nd gen was the comfort factor!

I dont know (or really care) if you intentionally ment to step on some toes or not but I don't blame them for treating you like a troll. The attitude of the post was completely wrong for a debate (unless maybe a political one). I doubt if someone with a 1st gen (or a 3rd gen) came up and said your truck is a big POS beause of yadda yadda ya you'd have a nice freindly debate with him. I know I wouldn't.

Now I do like my 2nd gen better (other than the stupid cab forward design) than the few 3rd gen's and 24v's I have driven. And if I could build my own truck it'd probably be a mix of all 3 gens. 1st gen body, 2nd gen 1999+ interior, 12v motor, NV5600 w/241HD TC and D80 (3. 54 gears) rear axle, and 3rd gen frame/suspension/brakes.

Just my . 02

Now that we are working on the dream truck... lets make the aforementioned suicide doors optional. I really like the gen3 four doors. Plus I like the added strength of the door post in case I get t-boned.

Lets have a tire size that isn't a freak - just say no to the 17". Perhaps 16. 5s, 19. 5s, or 20s with a gear ratio that matches the 17s and the 3. 73.

Be sure and keep the steering/turning radius of the gen3s.

I want hubs like the gen1s.

With all these wants and wishes I can hear christmas music in the background.

Ndurbin What attracts you to the 3rd gen framework? I saw someone not long ago pitching a fit over the new frames. Something about a utility bed. It's a subject I have totally no insight on, so i'm just asking.

Well the reason I would pick the 3rd gen frame/suspenion/brakes is it gives the best ride and stopping ability over the others. Most 1st gens I have riden in ride like a log truck, my trucks not much better but alittle.
