2nd generation CTD in 1st generation

I was curious if there were any issues with installing a 94 thru 98 12 valve auto into my '93 with a automatic. The reason I am asking is that I have a line on a complete setup engine,transmission, transfer case all in working order and was curious if anyone has done this or is it impractical? Your thoughts would be appreciated.

I know the transfercase won't work, the outputs on the wrong side

why dont you use the 1st gen driveline with the 2nd gen engine?

Okish- Lockup torque converter. But, you can get an adaptor kit for the NP205 to go on the 47RH/RE and sell the NP245(247? I dont recall many 2nd Gen numbers) to recoup some of the cost.
