As you can see I have some mods, I like HP but need to know if the hot rod VP is reliable enough to go better than a year, that is how long the last pump was good for.

I guess what I am really asking is, is it worth the money in the long run?

This is my daily driver, and I tow quite often, with a little racing now and then, any experience and knowledge is much appreciated,

Most “hot rod” VP44 injection pumps are simply a combination of the more aggressive high output (HO) fueling cam and the bigger standard output (SO) plungers and barrels. The rebuilder has to “balance” the pump with internals consistent with one or the other configuration, and then put the combination together. Therefore, some of them run smoother than others. Electronics to match your engine are used, either SO or HO, in the pump. The pump will give around 20-60 HP more than a stock rebuilt VP44 and will have the same durability.
