Could a 2wd single cab cummins 2500 be competitive in the drag racing world ? as far as DHRA events? With slicks

I personally think it would be cheaper to get a built transmission from ATS or suncoast for a 2wd than a 4wd?

Rear suspension mods are needed, and you'd have to run a slick (modified) class. you also have a split drivshaft to deal with which could get ugly when you start to hook well. You'd almost be better to cut it down to a short bed length to run a one piece DS. while your cutting you might as well do the four link. :D

Now, you're NOT on a budget right?

And it hooks up great at the 1000ft mark on those tires :D

Actually that is the original TX Red Rocket truck. The 11 second one is the long bed extended cab.

2wd trucks can run slicks in DHRA pro street and be legal. As far as being competitive with a 2wd platform... you sure can. :) Ask Ted Kobi, he goes by ob1kobi here. Runs a 2500 2wd in DHRA PSS. Oo.

I figured the ATS and or Lucas rail is 2wd... I think in those videos sold on the net that chevy funny car body truck is a 2wd.
