Well I thought I was going to be able to pound the bearings out using the 3 bolts, loosened, a socket & a big hammer... . Well no such luck.

How in the heck have you guys used the power steering to remove the hub????

I have yet to remove the rotor... But thought if I get the hub out I could just pound out with the rotor lying on the concrete.

I was afraid to pound too hard on the edge thinking it might bend??

Help or pic would be great!!!!!!!!!

Well trying to use the powersteering to remove the hub was not going to happen. On a 2wd there is nowhere to get leverage to press against like the 4WD where a couple sockets work.

So after borrowing a small AIR HAMMER It only took 1 hr & 15min per side. Loosen the 3 bolts that hold the hub in. Place a blunt hammer tip on the bolt & pull the trigger. 3 cycles of doing all three bolts it came right off, let the air hammer work!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Removal of the rotor was easy too. I gave it a few whacks with a hammer & wood with no luck when it was on the truck. So I just removed the hub & rotor, layed the removed rotor on the ground with 2 blocks of wood to support it. 2 wacks of the hub & the rotor popped off.

Use plenty of anti seize where you can,for next time..... I do ... its such a PITA even with the proper puller getting those hubs off
