I'm looking to lift my front on my 96, 2500, 2DW. So far I have a few spring/coil spacers, shocks with spacers and springs from National Springs. Is any one using any of this, how is the handling and tire wear? Once I decide what to use for the lift I want to replace the stock bushings, 190k on them not bad but might as well do them since I have the swing arms loose from the spindle. I looked into Energy Suspension, 40 minute drive to the factory at San Clemente CA, not to crazy about the squeaking. I have a full kit on my Regal and I like the handling but once they started squeaking (every three months) I knew it was time to loosen the bushings and spray some lubricant a friend game me. Any suggestions? TIA. Pablo

There is a 2 wheel drive lift kit manufacturer (I think it's Pro Fab or something like that) that makes some very nice set ups. Their top of the line has different spindle, upper control arms shocks and springs.

The different arms change the geometry which in turn affects camber and toe in changes as the wheel travels through it's arc. Try their web site, they have some pretty good info, if not online, in a brochure. If you don't get their stuff, it might help you decide how to mod your truck with what you have.

Fabtech is the name for 2wd lift kits and pre-runner kits in the off-road world. I believe Extreme 1 got "Fabtech" and "Pro Comp" combined. :-laf

Thank You Guys. I guess the local shops I ck with did not have up to date books so one offer to make a phone call to Fabtech and get a new book and more information.
