Fellow Rammers:

In issue 29, on page 10, there is a picture of a vacuum switch (I think) that you can install to disable front axle when transfer case is shifted in 4WD lo. Does anyone have a manufacturer/part number?

This would really be cool for manuvering real heavy trailers up tall grade w/ out smoke'n clutch (2Hi) or binding the driveline (4-lo).

Appreciate any help,

Wiredawg

Wiredawg,I bought mine from BD,It came in kit with good directions, nice lighted switch, and wire. I have 6speed and mounted the switch on shift pedestal between the 4 whl drv lever and main gearshift. As I recall it was around $90 for kit with shipping.
I like it. Works just like you are intending

I bought mine from BD as well. It uses the same solenoid they use for their exhaust brakes. It also has a good bracket and switch with a nice looking legend plate. Sure you could make your own for about 1/2 but that would take a lot of time that I don't have.
