Sound like i can kinda fab one up my self with a little creativity.

Thanks, Proram

Glad i made SOMEBODY'S day! LOL

actually proram

you have inspired my next bomb, I want a Eaton/Fuller knob with the switch for my exaust brake activation, I do think it would be too cool:cool: :D  ... ... ... ... ... ... ... Kevin

I put BobV's EF shifter on, this week. Took about an hour of fiddling around and bonking my head on underneath hangy-down bits. The shifter looks really good, I can't wait to get an e-brake hooked up, as well.

Went out in the fresh snow this morning, having 4wd at the flip of the switch was nice, as is backing up my driveway at a more reasonable speed.

sschwanger:

This is a very simple trick! I used a very small 12v solenoid switch that stops the vacuum going to the switch on the transfer case. If you are interested I can give you the number of the switch, and how to do it.

Stick

I used a 2speed air switch for a Fuller Roadranger trans. It mounts on the shift lever in the up position blocks the vacuum to the t/case -- down the front axle works normally. The switch is Fuller #A3546 and lists for $48 at any big truck dealer.

I would like to quickly point out that while shutting off the vacuum to the front axle disconnect does work, there are some things to consider. The center axle disconnect (CAD) uses a double action vacuum actuator to engage and disengage the front axle. Vacuum is required to engage the front axle and vacuum is required to disengage the front axle, it is not spring returned. Under some conditions when the vacuum is shut off to the CAD it can be partially engaged and the transfer case be in 4-wheel drive. This can obviously cause problems. This system also requires that you turn off the vacuum before you shift the transfer case into 4-wheel drive. I don't want to say that these systems do not work or will damage your vehicle. I just want to say that there are other other options that can give the driver full control over the center axle disconnect (4WD) even while moving.
