What are the differance's if there are any(gas/diesel) What are they going for $$$ ??? I'm putting it in a 92 f350 with a divorced np205 the dodge has a getrag in it now but would like to up grade now while I'm bulding it
The V8 gasser version of the NV4500 has a 1 1/8" input shaft rather than a 1 1/4" in the diesel and V10 gasser models. I know that the diesel/V10 model is labeled the NV4500HD rather than just a NV4500. I'm think that there are some other mechanical differences so maybe someone more knowledgeable than I will chime in here.
I believe that Standard Transmission sells the NV4500 for $1,250 with a $400 core charge. It's a fully rebuilt unit with a fully splined mainshaft with the updated 5th gear nut. Check with them for other differences too.
