1. ) Is the 205 the same behind the auto and the getrag?

2. ) Also can a getrag from a 2wd be converted to the 4wd configuration with doner parts? I. E. output shaft and adapter.

3. ) [Shameless cry for parts] Does anyone have these conversion parts sitting in their garage?

Buy another truck

Save your money. Buy a 4x4, and put your go-fast parts on it. Even a 4x4 gas and convert to Cummins. You will be money and time WAY ahead.

What Av8r said. I only think this would be justified if you wanted to convert a crew cab. Otherwise you'd be better off if you just bought a 4wd truck, and have both. Same as auto to manual trans conversions. To answer your questions. 1)No on the 205. Diesel, auto, getrag versions. 2)I'm gonna say no, just from what I've read, I'm sure if you had all the money in the world you could do anything though. 3) you can find these parts every now and then in the tdr classifieds.

W models are ok, but I have 2 of them, and would like to have a nice club cab 5 speed 2wd D250. Don't use the 4wd hardly at all, so a nice 2wd would suit me better, better fuel mileage etc.

I'm building a diesel Ramcharger(89). My donor vehicle is a wrecked 91 W-250 regular cab, non-intercooled, auto . I have found a good 2WD getrag but am not sure if it can be converted(like a NV4500).

If the spline count is the same between the auto and the manual the 205 should work, right?

I may try the 241 t-case thats in the RC now. It has a 23 spline input.
