Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) 2wd transmission length????

I,m changing a truck from 2wd to 4wd. I'm going to put a divorced 205 in it and want to put it in far enough back that if the getrag 2wd transmission goes out I can swap in a 2wd nv4500 or the 6 speed in with out having to make all the drive shafts over I would only have to change one shaft. Thats why I need to know what nv4500 or the 6 speed 2wd transmission lengths are?? Any info would help
