What is it for? I replaced my rotors and it was held on with a star clip on one of the studs. It fits real sloppy on the studs and is held in place with a star warsher type clip.

Do I need to leave this spacer in place? I have stock wheels and tires.

DC's answer to inproper front end geometry. Leave it in place. Some say if truck pulls to noe side while driving to place on opposite side of pull. Some say take it off altoghther. If your truck drives OK then I'd leave well enough alone. MHO

My truck puls to the right on the hwy, but pulls to the left under hard braking. At least it did, I replaced rotors calipers and pads and am still in the brake in period so havn't tried and hard stops. Still pulls to the right under normal driving though.

Thanks

Fill out you signature when you get a chance. If you are still pulling to the right (or is it wandering?) it could be uneven air pressure, road crown or even rear brake adjustment. If we knew if you had rear disc or drums it would be easier to take a stab at the pull/wander. Try finding a 3 or four lane highway and when it's safe go right down the middle see if it pulls then?

Not sure how versed you are or not with these front brakes (are you a 4X4? - see>?) but, the caliper slides and pind need to be cleaned and lubed to help reduce brake pull. Plenty of stuff here do a search on brake pull, or calipers, etc. Good luck.

Thanks Joe

I edited my truck profile but have noticed it is not being displayed. How do I turn that on?

I have to educate myself on what wandering is, but I did experience the death wobble yesterday :--)

The passenger side hub/knuckle has no play, but the drivers side does (can push in on top of suspended tire) so I checked the driver side hub when the rotor was off... no play or roughness in bearings. I think maybe the driver side ball joints are loose. I also checked the axle U-joints for play and they tight, but i did notice a "light clunk" 180° apart while spining the hub by hand.

The rebuilt calipers came with new pins, but were not lubed. I added Permatex synthetic brake grease to pins and sliding caliper/knuckle surfaces and made sure the calipers would glide on the pin without the pads installed. I don't see any signs hose bulge either, but am looking for SS lines anyway. I rotated the tires also, but the rears that went to the front are almost balled, so it could be tires.

Thanks again
