I rotated tire on a '99 2500 tonite. The right front wheel had a spacer behind it that had 3. 5mm, RH, This side out stamped on it . Does anyone know its purpose.

Most trucks of that vintage have them, I believe it has to do with preventing brake pull.

Bob hit it!



The dealer did the TSB where this was added years ago. Recently when I put the 2005 alloy take-off's on my truck, I removed it to allow for sufficent (additional threads) for the lugs nuts with the thicker alloy wheel. I've noted no brake pull, but I ck. or relube the caliper slider pins each wheel rotation too.
