I bought 3" spacers for the front springs and was wondering if the contol arms would be ok. Are they long enough? I fuigued they would be since the 2" have no problems that the 3" would be ok too since it's just 1 more inch. Thanks guys
I also run a 3" lift with the stock control arms. It's not quite as simple as "just 1 more inch" though - the higher you go, the more angle you will have on the control arms. That is, instead of being parallel to the ground they will point down to the front. When you drive over a bump, the tire has to travel forwards as well as up which can make for a harsher ride. Fortunately in most cases the larger tire that gets installed takes some of the load and it may not be noticeable. The 3" lift did contribute to the Death Wobble on my truck with the C load range Coyote tires. After I installed the E load range Coyotes of the same size it is completely gone.
All that being said I am happy with mine, but I would not suggest any more than 3" above stock (even just 1 more inch )
