Any good baling wire pics?

... *I* sure don't care! ;)

Cuz I knew substantial mods were in my immediate future, if I was to make my truck the way *I* wanted it! SO, rather than wait for "X" number of months to elapse before I DARED do as I wanted to MY truck, I waded in, and have been ENJOYING those changes for these 3 years instead of just DREAMING about them!

More power for my needs practically from day ONE, lots of :D :D :D , and NO :{ :{ :{

Amd THAT'S the way it SHOULD be! ;) :D

I'm right there with you Gary. I only had 1,000 miles on my truck before I started bombing it to the degree that I wanted for power & dependability. No looking back, no regrets & I have been my own warrenty station since the get go. Working on 3 1/2 years with no problems not even a lift pump failure. Aught Oh did I just jinks myself :eek: Thats ok I carry a spare. :D

Did you go see the Ripster yet & get your new sticks? Oo. Oo.

I Bombed Mine at the Dealer!

:D I traded a BOMBed '00 2500 for my '02 3500 w/ caviat being I transferred all add-ons. Took 3 days on dealer back lot... changed over exhaust syst, injectors, bumpers, grill guard, headache rack, side steps, gauges, TST PM3 Adj, exhaust brake, tool box. I removed the airbags off 2500, but did not install on my 3500. :D

They didn't bug me or even check on me. On Saturday, 2500 was bone stock and 3500 was set to go. Sunday, I installed 5th wheel hitch and Monday we headed out from Maryland to Indiana for TDR National. I won newest truck and best in show for 2002.

Life is good!

Doesn't get much better than that wiredawg. I was thinking of doing the same thing, because I want a dually. But then when I think of all that work I change my mind.

Might be a new truck in my distant future. :-laf

I busted the deal once just because of all the work involved... then the zero % interest for 60 mos was too much to pass over the deal. I want to tell you I looked like I was in a cat fight w/ all the scratches and cuts from doing all that work. And I was really worn out and sore. All for greater good.

But, I'm happy I did. Not to be too long winded about it, but I found something real disturbing while removing airbag upper brackets: There are four bolts holding them to the frame and the lower rear of both sides had sheared and were held in place by tension. I felt much better in the decision I made as I think it was just a matter of time before one or both brackets failed... could've been a real train wreck w/ my 5er. The 3500 sets level w/ 5er on it and runs level in curves w/out suspension assist.
