Had my 30,000 mile regular maintenance performed on my Ram 3500 the other day (fuel filters, oil filter tire rotation, etc). The place that I go to have these services done informed me that 4 out of my 6 tires would not pass inspection within a couple more months of use. They are so bad that they did not even rotate the tires as they felt they would be doing a disservice to me by charging me for something that makes no difference if it is done or not. 30,000 miles and done!! Won't be replacing them with Nexian tires that is for sure. Decided on BF Goodrich All-Season tires. Good reputation within my circle of friends. I have not purchased them yet as I want any input from you guys before I take the plunge. Any other suggestions out there?

I have never been able to get more than 35,000 miles out of a set of tires on any of my 4 Ram duallies. Michellin, Firestone, Cooper, BF Goodrich, Goodyear, Nexen, or Generals.

BFG, never again on a truck I own. Not impressed the G2's either. The Cooper ST's and STT's are the best we have found so far on the really bad roads we have and the use we put them thru.

Here are the Michelins I threw on at 40k. These have 25k. First pic front.

I've ran BFG AT's and KM2's and never been overly impressed, but I'd rather run a BFG than a Toyo...

On my SRW I've been happy with Cooper STT Maxx's, but they won't last super long. Something about a 255 wide tire, torque, and lots of dirt road towing.

I'll be looking to Cooper AT3's for my next set of tires.

I bought the service at America tires for $250.00 they will rotate and repair or replace a damaged tire

I really like them on my travel trailer. They do well on dirt, ice, and wet pavement.

My 2001.5 2500 mildly bombed would break them loose pretty easily. People that bought it had their Washington State Patrol officer son have it start coming around on him when he got on it hard, however his driving experience allow him to save it. The Cummins in these trucks do not stop turning right away when you get off the go pedal. SnoKing

On the trailer I have to really have the brake gain cranked excessively to get them to lock up. Lots of dirt and wet road miles on the camper, only a few snow/ice miles but they work well for my application. 60-65 psi sets them up properly for the load.

One thing I have noticed over the years is that 2nd gens can break tires loose much easier than 3rd and 4th gens. Must have something to do with the suspension design. Even with 415/850 to the ground on my 05 with 14 ply tires (much much harder than my R500’s) it was a chore to break them loose.

Less nanny torque management!!!!

Sounds like the Nexian tires are almost as bad as the Firestone TransForce tires on the SRW trucks. There are quite a few people who have had less than 20K miles on those junk tires. Plus the traction on both the AT and HT models is terrible in snow/ice.
