Larger class 8 semi truck fourms ...

E350 tow rig

Same deal here in Carson City, Nv. 5 months ago diesel was 50 cents a gallon cheaper than gas.

Now gas has dropped & diesel has risen. The latter now more expensive than gasoline.

Maybe an oil company "balancing act"... Keep those profits soaring?

Same here, diesel jumped 10 cent over night and gas is right at the same price. In some ares of the state though, gas is actually around 20 cent cheaper. #@$%!

The other fuel stops here have gone up the same 30 cents, but 30 miles west no change in fuel prices, what gives? No big increase in futures price, no refinery fires, no pipeline bombing, I smell something fishy going on!

Hello All

So its here again, Prices rise and people start anking what gives.

The price of crude oil has nothing to do with the price of diesel its called supply and demand. if there is no demand the price will fall if the is no supply prices will rise.

What we are seeing is a false supply shortage with a high demand so the prices are going to go up. this is what is going on.

But ask yourself can I change the way I drive? what I drive? when I drive the answer is yes. do you want to change, thats the hard one.

There is a lot of talk about Biodiesel and what it will do (droping the price of diesel is not one of them) yes it will help the farmers and it will keep the money here but thats about it. will it will make big corps lots of money but that goes without saying.

There are people willing to try running veg oil in there trucks (yes i am one of them) and it works. is it for everyone? no. does it take some time ? yes.

the biggest problem is making your self understand what you might be doing to the engine and getting over the fear of hurting something. but if you dont do some thing then you will have to pay the piper.

This is not new we went thru this in the 70's we dont learn do we!

The other thing is to park your trucks and wait for the price to go down. but i dont think thats going to happen.

the next time you fill up the tank. just think to your self, if I could make my own fuel for . 50 to . 75 per gallon what would this cost. we can all complain but we all can stop complaining and start doing some thing about it.

See you at the oil dumpsters !!!!

Today:

gas = $2. 689/gal

diesel = $2. 629/gal

I am taking matters into my own hands, like CJ, to lower the diesel costs by collecting, filtering, and mixing.

Dang, diesel for only $2. 62 would be a dream!! It hasn't been that cheap here for 2-1/2 years. Since summer of '05 we've only briefly dipped under the $3. 00 mark TWICE.

Our diesel has shot up from the mid $2. 90s to $3. 10-$3. 20s this week. A lot of places in Washington are above $3. 30.

fuel = $$$$$$$ in the bank

ya you got to do it yourself,

My new cost is less than . 50 cents per gallon :-laf

Big oil is not my problem :):):):)
