Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) 3000 GSK installation question

I am installing the kit and have a question on the tolerance needed to hold when re-adjusting the nut that holds the springs in place.



The initial measurement was 0. 071" .



How close do I need to shoot for on re-assembly? My digital Starrett is coming up . 001-. 003 variance. This variance should be acceptable?



Yes or NO?

Your truck will be okay. The first time I installed GSK, I was worrying about a few thou difference too. Have you driven it since the install? Also, if you are that close, your idle speed probably will not need adjustment.
