The turbo is great. However, it is very laggy unless you have the following

Bully dog downloader on Performance and Edge or Quad Box on High

OR

TST 6/5 for alot of boost and Edge on 1.

The turbo spools very quickly with these setups. It does not work well with just one box. I have installed the smaller boost elbow and IF I WANT TO, I can easilly 55-57 PSI and keep it there. It does not surge at all, but it will bark if you let off the throttle quickly. On level 6/5 I hit about 50lbs consistently and can floor it from 60 to the speed limiter and still be around 1300. If I floor it from a stop, I can barely make it thru 2 without hitting the defuel at 1350. I would say that if you ( or your wallet) wants a single than this is the turbo, if you want more power and lower EGTS and have the patience to wait 3 months for a kit than go with twins. Personnaly I would like to be around 550HP , but my fuel system will not allow it, and I won't wait 3 months for a twin kit. I will get it dynoed this week. I think it should be around 475HP

Is the 05 head gasket different then the 03-04. 5? If not you are going to blow yours. The HTB2 is the turbo I'll get after my transmission. I will waste gate mine around 40+/- psi. Thanks for the good info :D:D:D

I've got about 6k on mine now and still like it. I disagree on the lag, I usually drive with the TST on 5:4 and lag is similar to stock, I have no complaints. In stock form it's wastegated to about 40 psi, max I've seen is 42.

The version of the HTB2 with a 64mm compressor they refer to as a Killer B2. You can choose from a variety of exhaust housings which will work on both turbos.

I run mine around with the tst turned off and have a 14 cm housing on mine. The difference is in the auto vs stick in some cases, not to mention rear gearing. Everybody else including myself seem to think it spools as nice as a stock turbo, but flows much better.

Keep the comments coming. My htb2 should be here shortly went with the 62/12 but we clipped the wheel. should act like a 62/13. I can run my TST on 6/5 all day long and barely hit 1400 at WOT and my turbo is stock. In fact as my truck sits right now, I have my TST at 6/6. I'm really looking forward to turning it up. Even more.

ive got a little over 1200 miles on my killer B2 and i just love this turbo! with my current mods its spools just as fast as the stock turbo. im still having the barking issues with OD, but ive learned to control it alot. if i had to do it all over i again id still buy the HTB2 killer b2. this turbo has a huge potential and still needs some small adjustments and improvments, but a very well built turbo, and i felt i spent my money well. i might be upgrading to a 14 housing soon cause things can still get toasty if i let it, but egts are dropped about 200 deg, and it climbs much slower. im also going to be ordering the TAG III for my truck, and yes it will fit this turbo, and im hoping that it will help with the barking and surging some.

i got the killer b with the new cartridge it's been out a couple months. It's not that lagy really about as much as any other one and it's pretty good i mean it barks easily, and it seems to have a surging issue that's still bewlidering to the htt guys so i believe the sledd 66 in next in order, with a modified housing, i've heard it's pretty close to the same lag on the killer b but i also heard when it hits, it feels like 2 times as much. (this was only a figure of speech statement made) I truly know it's not 2 times as much but he said it felt like it. That's what i'm looking at

Htb2

The HTB2 and KillerB2 may be the best single turbo you can install on a CR Ram. It takes a little fab work to install but worth the trouble. I will dyno mine this weekend if the weather will let me. I am very pleased with mine.

I have the regular HTB2 (62/12cm2) for 2 weeks and 221. 8 miles now and no regrets. I chose the regular HTB2 since I had no plans for the TST. Darn now I jinxed myself...

Anyhow, currently waiting for the roads to get plowed decently so I can test out my VA C3. 1 / Power Pup stack. The HTB2 was a Christmas present to myself; the VA C3. 1 was a New Year's Eve present to myself! I feel like I'm 5 years old again after finding the present stash 2 weeks before Christmas!
