Does anyone know if 305/70R/16 Nitto terra grappler's will fit without rubbing on a 2001 2500 quad cab 4x4?

Anyone have these on their truck? Pictures?

Given the offset of the stock wheels, I would think there is a pretty good chance the tires will rub the control arms while turing sharply.

I put 295 Nitto's on mine and don't have a rubbing problem. I would bet that you will with 305's. I haven't found anyone with them that doesn't. Watch, now there will be a bunch of posts by guys who have them on and they don't rub!

I had a set of 315/75R16 BFG ATs mounted up a few weeks ago and they limit my steering by about 1/4 turn in each direction because they are mounted on the stock 16x8 rims. I'm wary of using spacers because, although the rims use standard tapered lug nuts, the spacers keep the rims from indexing fully with the hubs in the front. Plus, the decreased thread contact makes me nervous. Otherwise the tires fit perfectly. I've gotten countless comments on how the truck should have been available with those tires from the factory.

I have that exact setup and

I couldn't be happier if I was a pig in slop! See my sig.

My wheels are the 16 x 8 polished aluminum. No rubbing on anything so far (`course the front has never been fully compressed at full lock, either). :)

I have had excellent mileage from my front tires, 27,000 miles thus far and no appreciable wear. The back tires, alas, are going quickly (my fault . . . I didn't rotate AND I use my Pacbrake ALL the time . . . it WILL wear out your back tires in a hurry).

Oh yeah, and one one other thing: keep your inflation pressure to about 45 lbs. when empty. It will keep the tread flat, ride better, and give you much better tire wear.

I have NEVER rotated my tires (I know, I'm a BAD BOY) and I had run 65 lbs. for far too long, but the only tires that are worn are the back ones, and they are only worn in the middle!!

Overall, I'm VERY happy. I'll be buying two more . . . soon. :D
