Just ran a couple of tests on HP on the GTECH and my peak was 319. Measurement was from a dead stop up to 90mph. How accurate is the GTECH I entered my weight as 7500? Is there a hp to lb chart or scale?

To be accurate you should have your truck weighed on a scale. The proper vehicle weight is important in the calculations inside the G-Tech. To high of a weight entered will give you a higher than true hp. reading. My truck is 6600 lbs. with a full tank of fuel and my son and I in it.

My experience it you need to throw out the peak reading. My peak was 750, a bit high #ad

The other readings were very similiar and matched the dynojet readout. Do 4 runs and throw out the high and low then average the two middle readings and I bet you will have a good number.

Well, I didn't get my ram weighed but after reading the thread of "how much does your truck weigh" I decided on 6700lbs. I have a quad cab 4x4 with hd everything. Fiberglass ARE lid and I'm 250lbs, full tank. So I feel this is conservative.
I made 4 new runs like HVAC suggested.
1st run 345
2nd run 285 forgot and left air on.
3rd run 300 even
4th run 305
I do also hit 31 lbs + of boost on my guage
so the 10hp per lb of boost is close to the G-tech. Not knowing how much power is leached I'm still guessing. All in all I'm happy with my IIm's and boost module.
Next step maybe for Christmas PE hot #3 #ad

jims,
I have an identical truck to ours, with the only exception being the 6spd. My truck weight is 7300lb(my 99 5spd was 7200lb) and I also have the DD stage IIm's,eblow, module and K&N. I dynoed it on BD's dyno in April and it showed 295hp.

Mike,
So if my weight is close to yours I should get a higher hp reading if I up the weight. If the G_Tech I have is accurate my injectors are exceeding expectations.

For you DRW/4x4 owners:
I weighed my '01 3500 4x4 at a truckstop CAT
Certified scale last week. Full of fuel, me
and the wife, the scales totalled 7,740 lbs. Remember, this is a duallie 4x4 (6x6!).
Only thing in the bed is Line-X sprayed in
bed liner. Wife and I together weigh about
310lbs; a full tank of fuel is about 210lbs;
so a basic empty weight of 7,200 lbs for a
DRW 4x4 5spd ram is pretty close.

jims,
Unless DD slipped a set of stage III's in your stage II box,the G-tech seems to estimate a little on the high side. Guys with stage III's are cranking 315-320hp on the dynos. Seems like a pretty good unit though... I'd like to try one. Does the G-tech estimate rear-wheel hp or flywheel hp?

-Mike

The G-Tech measures(as I understand it) to the ground HP. It works off of G forces acceleration time and weight. So everything affects it (wind resistance, up-hill, down-hill, etc. I was told it should read less than a dyno because of these factors. Of course if you put in way to much weight and run down a 6%grade your going to have monster HP numbers.
