Was ready for a hassle on this but wife found extended warrenty, they require to change the fuel filter ($30) otherwise they would NOT warrenty the replacement VP44.

I will be glad to get the truck back without having to worry if it is going to fail on the next trip!

Perhaps the "Chysler Credit go to hell" sticker on the tailgate made them think to treat me a little nicer!

30bucks is good. The bonehead doing a warranty VP44 for me charged me a 100$ deductable and is forcing me to pay for shipping the VP to him and back to Dodge, (airfreight I might add). Then on top of that he cant do it for a week:-{} Says he's out the 1000$ and needs to get the core back asap so I guess waiting a week to do the job is my fault.

Yes the fuel pressure gauge was the first thing I did to the truck; however it had an air pocket and only showed 6 PSI so I changed the lift pump after only six months of owning the truck. After, it still read only 6 PSI and ran perfect so I drove it for a year until I bled the line thoroughly, ever since it has read 16 PSI except at WOT, then it reads 15 PSI.

So they will replace the VP44 and I will install a Geno lift pump relocation kit and still have the original lift pump for a spare. Just might plumb both lift pumps such that I could easily switch from one to the other.
