I guess I qualify here #ad
.
Drivtrain problems, yes plenty. #ad

tcase,2 trannies, stock clutch, centerforce, Jim Leonard dual disc, input shaft, 5th mainshaft, metalic discs, organics discs again, new dual disc clutch.
Now I'm going to an auto from BD, hopefully this will work great, we'll see.
As far as axel wrap I welded brackets on the frame from the pivit point of the drivshaft in front and from the rear end and bolted a 3inch square stock between. I have 5. 5 in softrides in the rear and they are soft with no wrap. I run 35x12. 50x16. 5 bfg's on the street and 35x14. 5x16. 5 bogger for pulling and mud bog racing.
Hope this helps.

Haven't experienced the axle wrap, there are some good ladder bars available at sam's off road and National Wheel and Tire. I have replaced the CV, and U-joint on the front axle though.

I had a '97 2500 4x4,auto,3:55, Banks Stinger+, B&D Auto-Loc, B&D Valve Body, Rancho 2" Suspension Lift, Rancho 9000's,35" BFG Mudders, etc. The truck put out about 270HP but could moaned to get over a curb because the bigger tires pushed the 3:55 to about a 3:05. It was hard to get the RPM's high enough to get the turbo spinning so you could use the power. If you have an auto, you NEED a BD Valve Body. For $400 installed, it was the best money I spent on that truck. Now I have a 2000 3500 Loaded and a 6 speed - the only way to go...

Thanks for the info. I am sure glad that I got the 6spd now... . first gear is low enough to run 38's if I ever wanted to.
My6... how did you recalibrate your speedometer? I am off by about 10% now.
