Just a quick report. It is pretty much done. It is really fast!!!! I did some passing on a 2 lane road today and it just has as much power as I ask for. I haven't floor boarded it yet and I better not because I think somthing might break. It just flies!!!:D It has an electric fan and it never even comes on. EGT aren't a problem because by the time they begin to get slightly hot I am going 80MPH and have to take my foot out of it anyway. It's kind of noisy though. Over 2000 RPM it gets pretty loud. I am going to install 3. 08 gears later and that should help. I also am going to do more sound insulation. I already put two thick layers of rubber on the fire wall. Rubber on the floor boards and foam in the head liner will help some and maybe somthing on the underside of the hood too. It probably will never be quiet though. I'll take fast over quiet:cool: I'm driving it to LA wensday and will be gone a week. I'll get a good milage check on that trip.

quiet!

treven,

Good luck on the next trip! I started sound deanening my Scout, got about half way trough the this project before I had to go back to work, and the effort so far has been,... ... ... ... ... ..... quiet. You pretty much have to take the dash apart and stick the "accumat" against every square inch of the fire wall and under the hood too, but the effort is well rewarded by, quiet.

good luck,

steve

Made it to LosAngeles just fine. Looks like I am getting about 20+mpg. I need to install those 3. 08 axles I have from my parts truck. Need more soundproofing too. Still keeps cool without the electric fan unless I am in stop and go traffic.

http://community.webshots.com/album/44268533sCvIJm Thease are the only pictures so far. I just got back from Los Angeles and havent had time to do more pics yet. The only thing you can see from the outside is the 3. 5" strait pipe running down the right side rocker panel with a crome tip infront of the wheel. Also if you look close you can see the huge intercooler behind the grill. When I droped my girfriend off she said her ears were ringing! I still have to try to make it quieter. I haven't even floor boarded it yet. It's so fast I don't need to. It's getting 21 MPG at 65 MPH. I hope the 3. 08 axles will improve milage and noise.
