Here's a quick hello as I am new to TDR, traded a 2002 2500 Cummins Five Speed 4x4 in for a 2004 3500 HO Six Speed 4x4 Larimie full load, navigation etc. very happy with it and now have 1700 miles on the odometer.

One small issue I do have is that two or three of the clearance lights on the cab are cracked and have moisture in them, looks as though they were tightened down too much and cracked from bending, no sign of being hit on anything.

May be an isolated thing??? have a look at yours if you haven't closely.

The dealership called me and now have my replacements in, so I am happy again!

Great site and forums, can't wait for the first issue to arrive, keep up the great work !!!!!!!

Welcome on board!

I found my center one was cracked after a couple months of ownership. Secretly, I think it was my fault after I was stupid enough to take the truck to an automatic car wash (never again). Dealer replaced.

I had several with moisture when I first got the truck. The dealer replaced all of them and a couple of them leaked as well. I ran a thin bead of the thickend Crazy Glue around the seams and that appears to have fixed it. Watch the pressure washers as you can easily drive water past the chinzy seals under the lights.

I have the 2500 and would like to have the clearance lights. Can't find anyplace in the Idaho Falls area that will install. Local dress up shop said "for 55$ hr. we will try"! No thanks, should be a very easy job for a experienced installer.

A Colorado Springs truck shop installed clearance lights on an old Ford pickup I had years ago. They worked fine, but it did entail drilling holes in the roof and routing wires down the A-pillar. It was one thing to do it to an old truck. I don't think I'd do it to a new 2500 Ram. Maybe 5 or 10 years from now ...
