I was wondering what shocks you would recommend for the 3500 4X4 . I have my eyes on the Rancho 9000 series. Any help would be great .

I went with the Rancho adjustables, numbers 99221 and 99269. They are still in the box, so I can't say how well they work yet. They seemed to be the favorite of the members.

Watch the eyelets on the Ranchos

If you go with the Ranchos on the front, make sure the lower bolt correctly fits the hole in the lower shock. If the bolt is a little bit too small ... you will have a rattle in the front end that will drive you INSANE!!! You will need a spacer if this is the case.

I can not use Ranchos on the front of my truck because of this issue and the inability of finding a spacer for the bolt and eyelet hole on the shock.

From my past experience with Rancho Products, I would recommend you look at Bilstien and their OEM replacement shocks.

I would go with Bilsteins myself. In fact I have been thinking of putting them on my trailer. I had a set on my Motorhome and they lasted 15 years!

I had the Rancho 9000 adjustable shocks on the old truck. After a few months I set them and never touched them again.

Having said that If you have the in cab controller for adjustments that may be good.

I will be putting Blistins on my 03' ( does anybody have the part numbers for 03 dually 4x4?)

Compare the length of your Rancho's to your old shocks before you put them on. I had to take back a set of the front shocks because they were 1 3/4" shorter than the stockers.
