2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission 3500 spare wheel

I have a 99 3500 and my brother-in-law has a 2000 3500. The local dealer said that Dodge changed the wheel from the 99 to the 2000. Is that correct?



Anybody have an extra wheel available for a 2000 3500? He bought the truck used and it didn't have a spare.

Curious!

I know they had different sized tires, but I find it hard to believe the used different wheels. I believe the are 16"X6".



I've been surfing the TDR since 2000 and have never seen or heard of this.

I have bought 2 Dodge trucks used with no spare wheel and tire. I called the dealer and demanded a tire and wheel. One was even short a jack as well. they made it good with me. One dealer was 100 miles away, they UPS it to me. NO CHARGE

It is worth a try.

new ones are spaced deeper. . don't know exact ##'s though



old ones had 215's stock

new ones have 235's stock. . extra spacing now via back space

I traded a friend for his 2002 dually rims and they are 3/8" more offset. This gave more room when Dodge went to the 235's as stated above.
