35psi tire

I noticed that Nitto is making a 295/70/17 tire rated at 3,195@35psi. Most of the tires rated for that much weight are at a much higher psi. What are the pros/cons regarding such a low psi? One advantage is the ride might be smoother

Lots more sidewall flex whilst towing would be one disadvantage. Another would be sidewall flex causing heat buildup will towing.

I doubt it's an "E" load range-rated tire if it's running @ 35psi recommended tire inflation pressure. It's probably a "P" (passenger car) tire and not a "LT" (light truck) classified tire. Tire Rack's website can't seem to differentiate between the two. You'll find that there are very few tires (at least of premium quality) that are available in sizes you can use on the stock wheels that are properly load-rated (or aftermarket wheels for that matter).
