2018 3500 srw ctd 4x4, would like to upgrade my wheels and tires. Looking at 20x10 wheels with somewhere around a -18- -24 offset(I'm wanting about 2" outside fenders). Can I fit 35" tires on truck or will I have rubbing issues?

Any negative offset is a terrible idea, besides the tries rubbing the fenders it will decease handling. The stock wheels are about +57mm and around +20mm is ideal for tire clearance, with the right wheels you can fit 37s with minor trimming on stock suspension.

Just not a fan of the tucked in look. I dont really want to level truck, do to me using it to tow, but I would like a more aggressive wheel/tire combo. Looks like I may have to go down to 33's to make work. I feel like there maybe a lot of wheel well showing with 33's though. Anybody have a similar set up with pics they can post?

I have 35”s on my 2013 Ram 2500. I HAD to put a leveling kit on my truck and I still have some slight rubbing after a while some of the plastic inner fender well rubbed away and it stopped. I have XD Addicts 20x10 with 12x35x20 Toyo AT2’s.

JTM, what offset is your wheels?

Mines about 11/2-2” outside fenders. I want to get the oem “bolt on” fender flares to install but missed out on an EXCELLENT deal for a dealer that didn’t want them but already sold them

Black Rhino Sierra wheels 20"x9" with -23mm offset. Toyo MT 295-65-20 with leveling kit. In my opinion perfect stance and tire size with all the towing capacity. without the ugly fender flares.

I hate to be the “get off my lawn” guy but when those tires are sticking out that far with no protection nobody except yourself will appreciate them when they are hucking rocks on other peoples windshields and paint jobs
Also not sure what tires came on your 18 but on my 17 the Oem tires were 275/70/18 which are already 33.25 inches in diameter.

That's to extreme for me, I'm looking for something thats going to give me about 2" outside the fenders

Do you want the wheel 2" outside the fender or the tire? If you want the tire to be 2" out then you need to know what tire you are going to run and width as a 12" wide tire on 8.5" wide rim would make it so the wheel is just about even with the fender flare or fender and the tire would be just about 2" out. If the wheel is 2" outside the tire would likely be about 4".

I am wanting the tire itself about 1.5-2" out.

A good site to check out is customwheeloffset.com. Go to their gallery and check out the different setups for ram 3500s just for reference.

35x12.5x20s will do the trick. I don’t see the difference between a normal tire flicking rock and a tire that’s a little wider. The biggest concern is when u pick up rocks you’ll have a higher potential of getting nicks on your own truck.

Here’s a pic of my truck.
