I am thinking of buying the 370s that are on the group purchase deal. Does anyone know anything about them, I have not been able to get through to the vendor (busy signal). My 97 5spd is unmodified as yet but this seems to good to pass up even though I was going with a plate 1st this deal has changed the plan. Any thoughts pro or con? any advice will be appreciated.

Thanks John:D

John Be careful. There are like 5 or 6 differant part number for the 370 HP injectors. You'll pay more from Joe D. or Peirs but it will be worth it if the one's you get are wrong.

When yu get the right 370s hold on to your hat LOL:D :D

I have a set of 370 injectors from DTT that I bought on group purchase last time. These were NOT the same numbers as the BD researched models. They body of the injector was the same, but the tip number was different. I can't remember exactly, but I think there was an addition 4-6 psi boost. I don't remember if that is on par with the real things or not.

I also mailed DTT about the difference and recieved nothing. I am not posting this to persuade anyone in anyway. Just take the info FWIW.

I agree 100% with what "drawson" told you. Piers Harry

originally did alot of R&D on the 370's. I ordered mine from

him when he was at BD. There is more than one kind and

the tips are different.

Well they are on the way so I hope they are the right ones, I have the part # so if any one knows the "right #s" please let me know.

Thanks

I just recieved mine from Piers yesterday. I hope I have the right part #! This was recorded by me on another thread:

0 432 131 715 for the 370 diamond b marine injectors. I could give you the numbers right off the injector, but I don't think it would be of any help. But these are from Piers and here are the numbers stamped right on the 370's sent to me.

5968

BRASIL KDAL 59P14 091 18

260 BAR

That's great now they offer the real thing for even less than what they were selling the supposed real thing a couple of months ago. How can you market two different part number injectors as the same thing? I know both are meant for the marine B series, but for our purposes there should only be one part number. I am not really mad because I have known that they didn't have the right tips for quite a while. The ones I have seem to work OK, but I have to wonder, what am I missing out on?

What do you think guys? I am not curious enough to spend $250 bucks to find out.

I bought my 370's from Bully Dog on a group purchase last year. Piers was nice enough to check the P #'s and verify they are the correct ones. These are the numbers I had:

From my original Email to Piers:

The injectors came in individual white boxes. On the outside of the box

says.

Made in Brazil

Robert Bosch

0 432 131 715

On the top of the injector where the feed line screws on says 5968.

On the main body above the metal ring says: Brasil KDAL59P14 085 16 260 bar

The number on the tip (nozzle) is 5969

Hey guys, I was planning on puting 215's in my Ram after my transmission upgrades mostly for the purpose of backing some of the pressure off my P7100 but this price looks pretty danged good. Are EGT's bad with the 370's? I don't care about smoke. Smoke is our friend :D I like to use my power more for pulling trailers than for racing and am not interested in extra power if I can't use it because of ungodly EGT's. How much more umph are we looking at?

danandme:

I think you would like the 370's! The "oomph" you speak

is VERY noticeable, at least on mine it was! The EGT's can

"get out of hand" if you don't watch your throttle, but

I don't think they are uncontrollable. My H. P. went from

225 to 380, however, there were "pump mods" included

at the same time, but my "throttle response" seemed SO

much better! As far as smoke... ... ... ... . well... ... . it is worse

than before but you are like me, it really doesn't bother

me. On towing, I find that I have ALOT of "extra/reserve"

power on tap especially when towing my racing trailer in

the mountains of the Mid-Atlantic on those tough 4-5%

grades!

The 370's really made a big difference, at least for me.

"Koa Man" really likes his too.

Hope this helps you decide.

I just got done installing the 370's from the GP. It took me 3 hours for the deed. It's not too bad if the injectors come out easy. All but one of mine came out after a wiggle and a tug. The last one was a bit more stubborn but it finally gave up. I centered my plate after the install to get a baseline. Here's the results:

They smoke a lot! Revving it up in the driveway will produce a cloud when you let off. At low boost they will lay down a James Bond smokescreen. Cars were going everywhere trying to get to clear air. At full boost, they will throw a slight haze rearward. No more than the 215 injectors I had in there with the plate full forward. I have to be easy on the throttle starting off in second gear or the tires spin out of control. Shifting to third put 50 feet of black marks on the road. Everything seems to happen more quickly now. You start thinking about upgrading brakes!

The truck seems to idle smoother now. I also think it revs further. Before, I couldn't get over 2500 rpm in 5th gear. I stopped at 2700 before things got out of control. I didn't notice a major gain in EGT's. Maybe towing will be different. Now I need a boost gauge that reads past 30. Mine pegs in a heartbeat now. I didn't notice any flat spots in the powerband so I guess I won't be needing the delivery valves for now. Maybe the governor spring kit to get more rpm's for the dragstrip. He He. This was the best 250 I've spent on my truck so far.

delivery valves

I'm sure with my original measly 160hp rating I'd have to upgrade the delivery valves. How bad a job is it?

I don't know if they have the correct washers. They are thicker than the washers on the 215 injectors I took out. I think the total bill was $268. 00.
