I'll be installing my 370's tomorrow. What kind of hp/tq am I looking at roughly with these and a #6 plate? Thanks, Mike

It all depends on the lunar alignment... . and the price of tea in China. :p

Rough estimate:

300-350 at the wheels... . give or take a few HP...

Matt

... Now prepare for the onslaught of comments from my fellow happy 370 owners... and how much they think you will make for HP/TQ. :D

mstimac

Keep me informed when you get them in

and give us the

"Seat O' Pants" feel.

I have the same setup as you (kinda) and have not gotten mine (370) in yet, so I want some input on EGT's etc.

Matt,

If the lunar alignment meets the price of tea I'm screwed!!!

First thing the wife said was "Does this mean I can make a bigger smoke cloud"

BGDUMMY,

I'll let ya know what I get... .

Mike

370s are usually good for somewhere around 40hp. I installed mine as my first mod and was a little disappointed due to all the hype about how much HP they added. There was a nice improvement but not what I was led to expect. I dont know about a #6 plate but a #11 sure woke up my truck and I am sure the 370s were a good mate to the plate for the increase.

The smoke could should increase quite a bit with the 370's. :D

Even before we placed the order... Dad said: "I'm gonna have more smoke, right?!"

Matt

Mike, don't forget to use the correct washers they make a difference. I believe they are the thin ones. you will notice a big seat "o" the pants thrill!!My 96 is pretty much the same as yours.

Mike

Well, the 370's are in! Not a hard job at all. The extra power sure is nice but always more is better. BGDUMMY: I'm seeing 36lbs boost and EGT's passing 1300 when I let out of the throttle. So, the question for all the gurus is: What's the single improvement that I can do now to lower EGT's the most? No, I'm not ready for a PDR 40 just yet. Thanks, Mike

Mike,

I don't see anything in your signature about exhaust or air filter upgrades. Those would help, depending on what you already have.

Jim

Jim,

Your right I still haven't done any Intake or exhaust mods. Guess I'm still a virgin bomber:D The question is which to go with first.

Problem is the wife drives the truck when I'm not out fishing and she has an afflication for smoking out rice burners and I doubt if she'll pay much attention to the EGT's even though I've stressed it to her.

Remove the cat and muffler is a big cheap help and an AFE or BHAF air filter is another cheap EGT mod next after that is a 16cm turbo housing. See my sig, I dont have to pay much attention to the EGTs unless I am racing and then who cares, or pulling the TT up a long grade trying tp pass every thing in sight. My plate is back from full forward about 1/16".
