Last night I put in the 370 marine injectors from TST. Installation was easy except for the originals needing a little gentle persuasion. The truck is much stronger throughout the powerband. In third gear it will break the tires loose with ease upon acceleration. :D :D I think the truck actually smokes less around town. Maybe becuase less throttle is required to reach a certain speed? I dunno. I think they are well worth the money. Anyone want my factory 215's? I would sell them or mabe trade for a camplate. Time for the next BOMB!!:D :D

mmm.... I wonder???

So what is the equivlince to the "Super Mental", DD3's and so on in injectors in the 12v world? Aren't there "Lazer Cut" injectors too?

Is the 375 marines the most common upgrade for injectors. I am speaking about the 1998 12v's

TIA,

AJB

After a year with my 370s I guess I'm ready to let go of my 215s too if anyone wants to trade for em. I'll never go back.

JTeague, did you have to adjust your wastegate? I was only getting 28 psi after installation. High egt's too!!

I spoke to Piers and he told me to shorten the wastegate arm. It's now @ 37ish psi!!:D MUCH lower egt's too!

PS First few test rides had me starting to think.....governor spring kit. Sure runs out of gears quicker, eh?:D

Your right about the gov spring kit it'll put a bigger smile on your face & help those FURDS see your tailgate everytime.

No flames just a question. .

Does anyone know if tst supplies the "preferred" 370 injectors (correct washers, etc, etc). I'm looking to buy some and read to be careful who to purchase them from.

Thanks

Hey wirenut,

Please let me know how the 370's perform with the #10 plate. I have the plate and the 4k Gov kit but am holding off on the 370's till I get a Turbo to control the EGT's. You can contact me off line if you like.

Thanks,

Scott

Should get alot of smoke and power with the 370 if you get the correct ones. And increase your fuel ie: slide plate ot a aftermarket plate

What do you mean by "Correct Ones" am I missing something here ? Are there wrong 370's ?

Scott

Yea. In the past some guys were selling ones that flowed something like 1cc less than the "right ones". I think it would be hardly a difference... . but it is your money.

If you go to Piers, Joe D. , or TST, I'd say you'd be getting the "right" ones. These 3 guys know just about everything there is to know about the 12 valve.

I got mine from Piers at a really good price.

Yea What he said

I thought there was a bigger difference than that?

I have not had an experence with the "wrong ones" just from what I heard and my experence with my 370 from piers

Alot of smoke and alot of power for a really good price!!!!

Adam

I don't get a LOT of smoke but there is no doubt it's a diesel:D

I don't think you could run a plate and 370s with stock drivetrain. Heap strong medicine Kemosabi. EGT big danger too. Mine is right on the edge of EGT and clutch with what I have.

Way too much fun. "Laaaaarrrrryy! SLOW DOWN!!!!!!"

yes dear :D

Well, you can run 370s and a #11 plate with stock clutch, because I am (though not for long!). You just have to be very careful with the go-peddle, which is really tough to do. I just added a Piers custom 35 turbo, to make matters worse. The plate is set conservatively at stock position, but its only a matter of time for the clutch. I'm thinking it won't last the winter.

As far as the "wrong ones" go, I've heard the wrong ones also have a spray angle that is not ideal for our engines.
