I ordered 370 injectors from Piers. Now I need a tool to yank the old injectors out. I've seen I previous post about injector pullers. If anyone knows how to make a home made one give me a parts list. Pics would be nice too. Or if make pullers and sell them I would be interested in one.

I made mine by using a lug nut, I think 14mm which screws on the injector after removing the fuel line. I got a long bolt and used an old 1 1/8th socket as a slide hammer on the bolt and welded the bolt to the lug nut. Make sure the bolt isnt too long to get the injectors under the cowl.

I'm going to try this one more time. Get a few M14x1. 5 MM nuts and you can use screw them onto the injectors and wiggle them out with a pair of vise grips after you take the lines off as a set... hint, hint! When you install the lines leave the retainers loose till after you have bleed the lines, then tighten them last so everything will line up nice. Use some carb cleaner around the base of the injector before you pull them to loosen things up! The retainer nut is 15/16th's deep socket

Jim is right in using some carb cleaner as alot of crud can set there

don't forget to blow around the inj w/air so the crud doesn't fall in the cyl.

Oh, all I ever used to pull my ing was vicegrips squezze gently

move alittle side to side & they pop right out. Then I took q-tips & cleaned out the hole too.

There was alot of carbon in the holes after I pulled mine. Get a tapered rod, a wooden dowel would work if you sanded a taper on the end, and stick it in there to plug the small hole to the cylinder and then blow around it with the air gun to get out the junk in the injector hole without blowing it into the cylinder. I pulled my injectors with vice grips and a hook on the end of a slide hammer pulling on the vice grips. It just took a little gentle thumping and they came right out.

I use a hydraulic line nut with a screw and a couple of nuts on a slide hammer for 1 thru 5 but on number 6 I use a piece of bar steel 3x4x3/4 with a hole in the center and the bolt setup from the slide hammer. Good luck Tim

There was also a post recently (can't recall who or when) that suggested a specific length of conduit and some washers and a nut. The short pipe slips over the injector, then a couple washers, and then the nut. Tighten the nut and they come loose.

I made a puller out of the 14mm nut like mentioned above and it's still laying around here somewhere. I've yet to use it, pulled two different sets of injectors with over 100k miles. Both times I just latched onto the flat part on the side of the injectors with vice grips and worked them back and forth in the seats while pulling up and they popped right out.
