Which Gages?

4" turbo outlet

Well, I am still having trouble deciding on injectors for my '95. I am looking away from the 370's because of idle haze and towing EGT's. What is my best choice for making HP and keeping EGT's in check while towing heavy? My plans are to purchase the injectors,DV's(191's),and turbo(PDR HX40) all at the same time.

well for starters, skip the 191's for towing and keeping the egt's in check. They will only make heat and smoke. The 370's are the best bang for the buck. You will need a turbo to keep egt's in check. Go with 4k gov springs, and the best thing to do with injectors and towing is to add a power adjuster. I made some more the other day. With the adjust its like moving the plate while traveling and you can set in so you will never get over 1200 even when towing.

If I go with 370's I don't need the DV's? It seems that most trucks with the 180 pump need the DV's to run smooth. Am I right?

add a power adjuster

Does this move the plate or the AFC? I've wondered if it could be done. I'm pretty good temp wise empty, but add a trailer, 5000' elevation, a big hill, and 98* outside, and things tend to get roasty kind of quickly!

I have stock dv's and so far, I notice i only have a slight stumble in the first 2 gears of the day. I notice when I shift to third, it gone already. on the colder mornings 60° as low as its gotten since I put in the big sticks, It does throw some blue smoke, but lasts as long as the stumble. I see some people advertise 191's to add 45HP if anyone would like to comment on this id appreciate it because im on the fence about them ready to fall over. Thanks.

The dv's definitely made my engine run smoother after the 370's. Also noticed more power. Don't know about towing egt's because I rarely tow.

If you are wanting to go the HX-40 route, you might want to look into getting a Holset Super 40. It's the same thing as the hx-40 only with a bigger compressor wheel. Balls to the wall, I've never seen egt's over 1100 Oo.

I still haven't made my mind up on which turbo I am going to purchase. That super hx40 sounds good if egts will stay down. And I really think I will need 191 DV's.
