Installation of the above items was completed yesterday and I have to say the old truck seems to have woken up for the first time in its life ... . holy smokes!!

The Throtle response is amazing and the PDR HX40 turbo sounds like I have a GE turbine jet engine under the hood!!

The acceleration is immense and being able to go up to 3K+ RPM's has allowed me to go over 77 mph for the first time.

The smoke problem was not nearly as bad as I had feared, not much at all unless you stomp on it! And there is hardly any turbo lag that you can detect.

Only thing that was a little disapointing was that downpipe that Pier's supplied with the turbo, it was about 3" to short, so I had to buy another one. Will send downpipe back to Piers for exchange.

I would like to thank Tim at Blue Chip Diesel for completing the installation. Tim knows his stuff cold and did one excellent job.

One question to you folks out there, do you have any ideas on who might sell or how to make a cage or support structure for the drive shaft in case you blow a U-Joint?:D

Tim did an excellent job ... though he fried my 1st clutch on its test run after some previous upgrades he worked on.

He was telling me about his runs at the race track in Epping NH. He now in the upper 12's ... he's got some nice vidio of his runs.

That's a heck of a step-up at one time, I did one of those long on-ramp runs coming home tonight and at about 60 under full throttle hit a slight bump and broke the tires loose..... windows were down, try it with the windows down and you'll see what a beating the tires take:D

Jim

I need your air!

Tim is a character and 1/2... . I've NEVER seen him without his video camera. I think he sleeps with it... .

One thing you'll never see him without is a dirty shirt..... I think his washing machine is broken... .

..... all in good fun.

Matt

yes matt, thank you sir. :D

wait... ... ... . "yessah". ayuh. we gottah pahk the cah in tha pahkin lot n go n get some lobstah, ayuh. then we's can set on tha po-ahch and eat tha lobstah.

it will be a blast... we'll get to see how sloooooow my truck is down the quarter:cool: ah well, it's all in fun!! :D

dyno days?

Sorry for no reply lately, I've been on vacation for the past week and a half.

Didn't know there was going to be a dyno day at NE Dragway on the 28'th. I am planning to go to the truck races on the 29th.

Epsom is only about 30 minutes away from me.

I'd love to know how much HP and torque I now have in the truck.

How much is it to go on the dyno? And what time is it being held?

HoleshotHolset ... I did see Tim come into work on the day I picked up my truck. His shirt was pretty clean, but an hour later it was ready for the rag pile. And he has shown me plenty of vidio on his camara of his drag runs at NE Dragway ... cool stuff.

just to clarify, the dyno day is down in southern mass, almost RI (kinda confusing when we were driving to the park as to which state we were in) on the 28th. the 29th is the truck races in epping--N. E. D. should be lots-o-funOo. Oo. :D

Almost RI. !!

If the dyno is that far away, I can safely say that I won't be able to make it ... damm.

Sure would love to see how much power I have now though.
