put on the new prototype bully dog box on my 03 at the vegas rally friday. here are the dyno results

stock 240

box on 2 355

box on 3 392. 6

runs much better now. actually get black smoke when you put it to the floor!!

What do they call this box?

Do you have any other mods working in conjunction with it?

How is it installed? Just plug-in, or wire-tap?

I guess you wouldn't know anything about effect on auto transmission or clutch just from the dyno, but have you heard anything?

I've been ignoring the "May Madness" threads since I don't live out there, but maybe I'd better go have a look...

I got a DDs rail pressure box coming, evidently by carrier pidgeon cause I ordered it on Thursday and it still isnt here. I was planning on stacking so I could increase my options for what settings I wanted the boxs to run on. I think being able to set the timing and rail pressure seperatly may be a real advantage when it comes to tuning for towing, street, everything maxed for a dyno run or whatever.

they call it the race box. it has 3 settings. there are still a few bugs in it, mainly it causes the check engine light to come on, but they will get it worked out. the truck is stock, just the box is the only add on.

at the idaho dyno mine did [with stage 1 injectors and this box, 428rwhp/776 rwtq on low and 438/887 on high. with box off 330/606

im still stock clutch so far bein careful and stock turbo

Hey Muddy,

How do you think the set up your talkiing about with the injector's and the box will effect your truck's reliability? Do you get any better fuel mileage w/ injector's or box ... ..... or both? Thanks for your time.

reliability probs on low no. i believe the inj/box combo on low will not cause any reliability problems. very small presure increase. i will use low setting to tow and i dont expect egt to be too high on warm days thanks to the timing. i will have to watch egt on hi with stock turbo towing. also i dont xpect my stock clutch to last long if i was to use hi for towing or gettin on it hard at lower rpm

on the low setting it relies greatly on timing and the rail pressure increase is low. but on hi the icrease in rp would cause more wear over a long period of time. at 428 rwhp 776 tq on low setting i wont need to use hi setting too often.

my injectors added 52 hp and gained 1. 5 mpg instantly after they were instslled. the box on low appears to gain about 1mpg. on hi it lowers mpg as i only use hi to have lots of fun

i love this bullydog box, stage 1 injector comboOo.

i know that they are working on changes for setting 2 and 3 as my engine seems to run rough going down the road, but it sure runs nice when you step on it. i had no change if fuel milage. 13mpg all the time. thinking about getting a gear vender overdrive.
