KD tools - where to exchange?

I need advice on dealing with Sears/Craftsman

I am trying to assemble a utilitarian tool roll for my truck. Everytime I do anything on the truck, I add to tools to the collection. Here is where I am so far:

* 1/2" Breaker Bar (for belt idler, with socket and extension for lug nuts, and fuel filter)

* 1/2" X 6" Extension

* 1 1/8 Socket (for Fuel Filter)

* 15/16 Socket (Lug Nuts)

* Oil Filter 'socket' (from Geno's)

* Allen Wrenches: 10mm and 17 mm (trans and t-case plugs)

I carry the normal assortment of metric and SAE sockets/whenches but does anyone have a list of the sizes actually found on our trucks? What size Torx heads do I need?

Thank you,

Lisle makes a nice set of Torx bits for cheap ($20). You can find them in any auto parts store and it's a pretty complete set.

I think your's is a good Idea which I haven't got around to implementing yet.

Just off the top of my head I would say:

1. tools needed to change light bulbs, for the front, a 1/4" ratchet with 8"-10"

extension and socket (10mm ?) but you can check out the sizes.

2. 3/8" ratchet for oil pan drain unless you use aftermarket stuff.

3. whatever extensions you think you might need/prefer to go with that 1/4" drive

above to snug up air intake and boost plumbing clamps.

4. ground wire bundles bolt to the fender in a number of places ( I think 12mm?)

this size wrench fits a number of bolts under the hood. In case you want to clean

the connections.

5. Battery clamp bolts.

6. As mentioned a handy torx set & #2 phillups

I'm sure I left out a few

Ryan and LSteiner,

Thank you for the responses... I would have overlooked the 3/8" square drive for the oil drain (I have a lifetime 3K oil change contract... I've done everything else, but I've never changed the oil!). I'm going to go out and check every fitting I can reach with the hood up... I'll post the list.

Thank you,
